Student Assistant - Social Media Specialist - Faculty of Education

Working under the supervision of Dr. Sean Wiebe and affiliated with the Canadian Creative Economy Research Team, comprised of Dr. Gouzouasis (UBC), Dr. Richardson (Royal Roads), Dr. Ricketts (UoR), Dr. Carter (McGill), M. McLarnon (McGill), and Dr. Howard (CBU), a part-time social media specialist is required to work on initiatives related to Reconceptualizing Teachers' Roles for Canada's Creative Economy. This Pan Canadian research team has been developed to co-create knowledge on how (1) how creative pedagogies develop through the multiple interconnections among (a) artmaking, (b) research and (c) design thinking; and, (2) how developing an ethos to position teachers within society as a/r/tographers can establish more measurable and immediate pathways for teacher and student contributions to the Creative Economy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will:
• Share research team activities via social media
• Create reports that track reader engagement
• Provide input in the generation of social media content
• Collaborate with the Research Team to advance/promote findings
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
• Competence in social media communications
• Experience with readership engagement
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Able to work independently with good time-management
