• The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking applications for a temporary student research assistant position. 
• The position is required to work in a lab to process kidney tissue slides using immunofluorescence microscopy and perform image analysis using ImageJ and other NIH software.
• The work entails highly focused and exact processing of several thousand digital images in a dark room.


• The student must have excellent computer proficiency in ImageJ and other programs and expertise in microscopy.
• Laboratory experience would be an asset but is not a requirement. 
• Other qualifications are a very strong work ethic, exactitude and excellence in image analysis, very strong focus, and independence.
• Strong references demonstrating these skills are required.
