Diagnostic Services is seeking applications from qualified individuals to provide secretarial support for the Post Mortem Laboratory. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide general secretarial support within the Diagnostic Services Unit, including:

• Answering telephone inquiries and handling and/or redirecting inquiries
• Client reception and customer service
• Receiving and sorting lab samples
• Entering lab samples into the Laboratory Information Management System
• Compiling and reporting necropsy and histopathology results
• Monitoring office and other supplies
• Maintaining filing systems
• Maintaining mailing/email client lists
• Data entry

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 graduate plus successful completion of a recognized secondary secretary program including medical terminology is required
• One (1) year experience in a related area is required
• Previous experience in a veterinary office setting would be an asset
• Working knowledge and experience with computer systems   Microsoft Word, Excel, E-mail, Moodle, Power Point
• Demonstrated ability to work with others while meeting regular deadlines
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
