Hours of Work: 

5 – 10 hours per week

$13.76 per hour (vacation pay included)

September 2015 to April 2016

The Math Help Centre is seeking up to three (3) student assistants.


• Student tutors are required to provide assistance to students in any 1st and 2nd year Mathematics and Statistics courses.
• Providing drop-in tutoring services, assisting with help sessions organized by the Facilitator, and developing study materials for the associated courses under the guidance of the Facilitator.


• Preference will be given to third or fourth-year Math majors who possess the knowledge of the topics covered in UPEI's 1st and 2nd year Mathematics and Statistics courses.
• Experience in tutoring mathematics, working with students, and use of technology (eg., Maple ®) are desirable assets.

Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
