The office of the VP Academic is seeking a student research assistant to provide support to the Academic Planning Group and assist in the research and development of the academic plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer, evaluate and analyze pre/mid/post-term assessments using both quantitative and qualitative approaches
• Maintain the course grade database and tracking grade trends
• Serve as liaison between the coordinator, professors, learning facilitators and students by ensuring timely responses to inquiries and concerns
• Track, schedule and take detailed notes at planning & assessment meetings and during focus groups
• Aide the coordinator in addressing registration, enrollment, and space issues
• Search out, collate, and post materials to Moodle
• Photocopying/scanning
• Aide the coordinator in preparing correspondence, reports & funding applications
• Assist in marking student papers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Senior Masters or PhD student
• Experience in the administration and implementation of a student-oriented program
• Experience in the collection and analysis of  both qualitative and quantitative data is essential
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Able to function effectively in a team environment
