Student Research Assistant
Hours of Work: 

10 hours per week

$12.78 per hour (vacation pay included) (grant funded)

Commencing as soon as possible until March 31, 2014

 Provide research support to Dr. Kate Tilleczek - Canada Research Chair (Child/Youth Cultures and Transitions), for the project Barriers and facilitators to youth mental health in Atlantic Canada (CIHR funded)
• Assisting with literature searches
• Updating and maintaining RefWorks database
• Scanning and photocopying material
• Organizing and filing print articles/reports
• Preparing interview packages
Essential Qualifications:
• Knowledge of RefWorks
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Skills in library and computerized literature searches
Asset Qualifications:
• Experience in and understanding of qualitative research
• Experience with qualitative research software such as Nvivo
Preference will be given to a student from the Arts: sociology, anthropology, psychology, history, philosophy, or Education.
Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
