The Dean’s Office of the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a student assistant in the Electron Microscopy Lab.


• Participate in a cooperative project between the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (British Columbia) and Aquatic Diagnostic Services at the AVC. The purpose of the project is to investigate the effect of feed on the morphology of fish intestines
• Interpretation of histological sections stained with routine stain and taking measurements of intestinal villi using the Bioquant image analysis computer program


• Preference will be given to a graduate student enrolled in the AVC Department of Pathology & Microbiology graduate program with excellent knowledge of histology and pathology 
• Highly motivated
• Excellent organizational and computer skills
• Ability to work independently
