IT Systems & Services is seeking a new member for our Client Solutions team.  This individual will work closely with others in the team and the department to provide technical support and assistance to the campus community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the use of computer hardware and software by members of the University community, including such activities as:

• Provide assistance with the use of a wide variety of microcomputer and network-based software, hardware, and services in-person, by telephone, by e-mail and through our Help Desk service
• Triage requests and assign work orders/tickets to the appropriate technical support person(s)
• Provide status reports and improvement plans based on service metrics
• Create graphical representations of trends in service requests by service, location, requests, etc. of time and satisfaction
• Coordinate procurement of IT assets for clients through our depot
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a minimum of a two year College diploma in Computer Technology/Information Systems Management along with two year’s work experience in a client support role, or an equivalent combination of minimum education and related work experience 

In-depth knowledge in the following areas is also required:
• All current versions of Microsoft Windows and Apple IOS
• Local area network equipment and TCP/IP protocols
• Internet technologies and standards
• Administration in a Microsoft Active Directory environment
• Installation, configuration, and use of microcomputer software including Microsoft Office, Google. Colleague, RXWorks and other applications
• Identification and removal of malicious software
• Installation, configuration, and use of microcomputer hardware and peripherals
• A strong commitment to excellent client service is a fundamental requirement for this position, along with very strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong conflict resolutions skills and be able to balance expected service levels with changing and immediate priorities
