The Faculty of Education is seeking applications for Graduate Research Assistant in Early Childhood Literacy and Early Childhood Education

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reviewing and synthesizing relevant literature in digital literacies; Multiliteracies; and digital access
• Survey development
• Assisting with ethics application
• Data collection and subsequent data entry
• Cleaning quantitative data and data analysis in SPSS
• Coding and thematic analysis of qualitative data
• Analyzing and coding research information
• Assisting with writing of reports and journal articles
• Development of other knowledge translation initiatives (presentations, reports, etc.)
• Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a Masters in Social Sciences (Early Childhood Education, Health, or Early Literacy focus would be preferred) and a Bachelor of Education Degree
• Extensive research experience in Early Childhood Literacy
• Extensive experience working with Early Childhood Educators and the Early Years Field
• Extensive knowledge of literature in early literacy, digital literacy in the early years
• Considerable experience working with the Early Childhood Development Association
• Considerable experience in knowledge translation; and developing and delivering research presentations for delivery in the community and/or research conferences at the local and national level(s)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong writing abilities
• Strong digital literacy skills
• Strong Quantitative research knowledge and experience
