Applications (cover letter and résumé) are invited for two research assistant positions to support a research project being conducted by Dr. Blake Jelley, School of Business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicants will conduct systematic library research to identify relevant articles and books, and critically read those materials to identify themes used to define an “evidence-based management” mindset. Documentation of results and organization of references will be important.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Students pursuing a degree in business, psychology, or social science who possess experience conducting research and academic writing will be considered first for this position. Students who have completed or are in the process of completing courses in organizational behaviour, human resource management, and research methods are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be proficient with technology (computers, internet, literature searching, word processors, spreadsheets). Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate proficiency with scholarly databases such as PsycINFO and Business Source Complete. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated experience using reference management software (e.g., End Note; RefWorks) and having a working knowledge of APA publication style. Applicants should be highly motivated, dependable, able to work independently and collaboratively, and possess excellent written communication skills.
