The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology wishes to hire a native Mandarin speaker to work in its Student Help Centre to assist students in succeeding in their computer science coursework.


• review current assignments and provide assistance with related topics (note: this does not mean that the applicant will walk students through their assignments; the role is consultative and instructive)


The successful applicant will typically:

• have superior marks in CS151, CS152 and CS261 (preferably 80% minimum in each) and will ideally be a Dean’s List student in their third (or later) year
• have 6 hours per week available to work
• have excellent interpersonal communications skills in Mandarin
• have a genuine interest in programming, and in helping other students improve their skills
