Hours of Work: 

Up to 10 hours per week (includes some after hours)

$10.40 per hour (vacation pay included)

January 3 to June 24, 2014 and September thru December 2014

 The Learning Resource Centre (School of Nursing) is seeking applicants for student lab assistant. This position reports to the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Coordinator and will assist the Clinical Nursing Instructors in the Learning Resource Centre.
Include assisting with instruction of first year and second year nursing students, assisting students with resources, organizing supplies and equipment, setting up equipment for specific labs, returning equipment to the storage area following lab, equipment and manikin maintenance, word processing, literature searches, photocopying, and filing.

• Current enrollment in the nursing program, strong clinical and psychomotor skills required.
• Consistent class attendance.
• Demonstrated critical thinking ability, initiative, good organizational skills, flexibility, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an asset.
Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
