The Department of Modern Languages at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach the following courses during the 2016-2017 academic year. These positions are subject to final budgetary approval.

Fall semester: September – December 2016

This course is a detailed review of all areas of French grammar.
It is designed for students who have completed the high school French Immersion Program or French 122, or who have been identified through the Placement Test.
PREREQUISITE: French 121 or French Placement Test
Three hours a week plus lab


Winter Semester: January – April 2017

This course is a continuation of French 211.
PREREQUISITE: French 211 or French Placement Test
Three hours a week plus conversation class

Application Instructions:

The successful applicant will have at least a Master’s degree in French plus evidence of effective teaching in French Language at the university level. Please note that priority will be given to qualified individuals on the UPEI sessional roster of the academic unit. Applicants should submit a letter of application, a current curriculum vitae, and two recent letters of reference to:
