The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is seeking an undergraduate Research Assistant for the project entitled “Employment-Related Geographical Mobility in the Trucking Industry in PEI.” The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Natasha Hanson.


• Transcribe audio-recorded interviews;
• Library searches;
• Literature reviews;
• Analyse and code data;
• Perform other duties as required.


• The ability to work independently and be well organized;
• Maturity and ability to exercise sound judgement;
• Strong familiarity with sociological and anthropological concepts;
• Ability to critically review library and Internet sources; and
• Good writing skills.

Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
