Student Assistant
Hours of Work: 

Up to 10 hours per week

$10.92 per hour (vacation pay included)

Fall 2015 Semester with the possibility of extension for the Winter Semester 2016

The Department of Applied Human Sciences is looking to hire one, possibly two, student assistants. This position will require a person who is organized, efficient, self-directed and who can work independently if necessary.


The duties of this position will include:
• Answering the telephone.
• Marking tests and exams.
• Picking up and delivering mail.
• Maintaining office supplies.
• Photocopying.
• Greeting faculty and students in the office.
• Working on special projects (which could include graphics and photographs).


The successful applicant will be a student with:
• Strong computer skills (excel spreadsheets, Word).
• Telephone Skills.
• Communication Skills.
• Organizational Skills.
• Knowledge of the programs in the Dept. of Applied Human Sciences will be considered an asset.
