17 hours per week 

$40,305 per annum, prorated to time and term as per CUPE 1870 (Grant Funded - Off Scale)

The Office of Skills Development and Learning (OSDL) is seeking applications from qualified individuals to provide administrative support in a dynamic and diverse office environment responsible for a wide array of services and programming.


Reporting to the Director of OSDL, the successful candidate will support the work of staff engaged in the delivery of Co-operative Education and Career Services.   
Duties will include:
• Ensuring a welcoming environment for students and other clients of Career Services and Co-operative Education through the unit’s new “storefront”
• Fielding in person, phone, and email inquiries, maintaining files, recording and reporting on service metrics, booking appointments and space for meetings and events
• Providing administrative support to Co-operative Education co-ordinators, including registration and updating student and employer information in the ORBIS information management system, adding and updating co-operative education job postings, coordinating logistics for professional development sessions, providing logistical support for planned events, supporting students to submit the required documents to secure work term placements, and updating the Co-operative Education Website as needed
• Providing administrative support to Career Services including the posting of student jobs from external employers, providing logistical support for planned events, and updating the Career Services Website
• Collaborate and coordinate with other administrative staff in the unit


• Diploma in Office Administration (or comparable program) and two years of work experience in a similar environment
• Proficient in the use of computers and the following software programs: Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Gmail, Google Docs and Sheets
• Must be able to work independently, be detail-oriented and demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills, and be able to multitask;
• Must maintain confidentiality and privacy
• Must possess excellent customer service skills, including initiative and problem solving and the ability to work with a diverse community
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written English communication skills
• Demonstrate an interest in career services and co-operative education
