Facilities Management Security Services Division is seeking to create a casual employment list of Security Attendants.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform such duties as: 
• Staffing the Security Services office dispatch desk and
• Assisting in the protection of persons and property in student residences
• Counter and phone reception
• Respond to emergency requirements
• Respond to maintenance requirements
• Respond to a variety of alarm systems
• Dealing with general building security
• General key issues
• Monitor the CCTV system
• Copy files as required for Officer Investigation
• Lost and found duties
• Provide parking information
• Fire prevention
• Assist with the investigation of complaints
• Preparing shift reports
• Operate the dispatch radio
• NRCC desk  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have completed courses in Law and Security, Corrections or possess an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Excellent writing, speaking and computer skills
• Ability to work in a confidential environment
• Be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position
• Knowledge of the UPEI campus would be an asset
• Federal Government and all applicable security clearance will be required

This position will require week and weekend shift work. Compensation for these shifts as listed below.
