September 6, 2016 – June 28, 2017 (During school days only.  PD days, holidays and Christmas and March Break included)

The Athletics & Recreation Department requires Child-Care Instructors for the Panther Academy After-School program beginning September 5 for the school year.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under the guidance of the Coordinator of Sales & Panther Academy and Head Counselors, the successful candidates will assist in the implementation of program curriculum
• Conduct themselves and their work in an enjoyable, presentable and professional manner
• Will have effective behavioral skills and be prepared to deal with various behavioral issues
• Perform duties without direct supervision

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience working with children or working in a camp or school setting
• Leading educational or sport programming for children and knowledge of gym/outdoor games and activities would be considered an asset
• Ability to communicate and be assertive
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, friendly and courteous personality
• Ability to relate positively to staff, children and parents
• Adapt easily to unexpected circumstances and additional duties
• At least one year of post-secondary education is required along with a Criminal Record Check upon hiring
