 Maximum of eight hours per week in both Fall and Winter semesters. Must be available at least 2 afternoons.

Salary: 
$13.56 per hour (vacation pay included)

Applications are invited from junior and senior undergraduate Biology students interested in tutoring first and second year students, or Wildlife Conservation students, in the Biology Help Centre.  Specifically, you must be able to tutor students in BIO 131 and BIO 221 (first semester) and BIO 132 and BIO 223 as well as intro Genetics content in BIO 413 (second semester).  Ability to also tutor students in BIO 204 and BIO 206 would be an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The successful applicant will be required to tutor students visiting the Help Centre on a weekly basis for the duration of each semester (8 hours/week).
•  This will entail answering questions that students have regarding content in various first and second year courses, and genetics content of Conservation Genetics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Biology major with a very good knowledge of basic biology material especially cell biology and genetics, with a CGPA of at least 3.3.
• Must have experience tutoring biology university students and possess good communication skills

Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
