Working under the supervision of Dr. Sean Wiebe, a Qualitative Researcher is required to work on a digital and multi-literacies project.  This project will contribute to knowledge on how the digital economy changes the kinds of literacies students require to be successful, to increase the socio-cultural imagination of what is possible in schools, and to more accurately identify teacher capacity for innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Independently undertake data transcription
• Independently organize and analyze qualitative data
• Independently conduct literature reviews
• Collaborate with the researcher team to prepare reports and manuscripts for   publication
• Other additional duties associated with qualitative research

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Graduate or a Post Graduate degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, or a related field
• Experience with at least one qualitative data analysis software
• Experience of data transcription
• An advanced level of research, writing, and analytical skills
• A strong understanding of the research process, ability to work independently, and provide regular updates to the research team

The following qualifications are desirable:
• A minimum of two years in a classroom setting
• Familiarity with social media, and information and communication technologies
