Diagnostic Anatomic Pathologist - Six (6) Week Term Appointment

The Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), University of Prince Edward Island, invites applicants for a contract position in anatomic pathology. This is a full-time position for six weeks effective May 1, 2017 to June 9, 2017.   The successful candidate will work with 4 ACVP board certified anatomic pathologists. His or her primary responsibility will be the necropsy and biopsy duty on specimens/samples submitted to the AVC Diagnostic Service Laboratory. The clients of this service include the AVC teaching hospital, researchers and private practitioners in the four Atlantic Provinces.  This appointment is subject to budgetary approval.

Applicants must have a DVM (or equivalent) degree and experience in anatomic pathology.  Clinical experience and ACVP board certification are assets, but board eligible individuals will be considered. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.
