The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Instructor during the forthcoming Fall 2016 Semester. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

Course: VBS 141 – “Integration of Structure and Function 1”

The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking a sessional instructor to assist in delivery of Integration of Structure and Function I (VBS 141) to first-year veterinary students. This team-taught course uses case-based material to emphasize first-year fundamental learning objectives. Responsibilities for this position include preparation and delivery of lab material and contribution of basic science concepts to joint basic/clinical tutorial discussions, preparation and marking of examinations and quizzes as appropriate and assisting students where needed.      

Remuneration will be as specified in the Faculty Association Collective Agreement.

Qualifications:
• A DVM or other health professional degree.
• Preference will be given to those with teaching experience in Physiology, but those with evidence of effective teaching in related fields will also be considered.
• Priority will be given to members of the UPEI Sessional Roster for the Department of Biomedical Sciences.
