The Canadian Excellence Research Chair in aquatic epidemiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College is seeking to hire a science editor to support projects associated with the program. 


• To provide one-on-one writing support to graduate students and faculty associated with the CERC program or CERC projects
• To design short scientific writing workshops for graduate students in the CERC program
• To proof read manuscripts by faculty and graduate students associated with CERC


• Candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts with preference be given to a English major , a Degree/Diploma in Journalism, or a Bachelor of Science  with an extensive record of peer-reviewed publications
• Significant experience in science-based writing and/or editing, for example, scientific papers and reports, and familiarity with CSE (Council of Science Editors) formatting
• Experience in working with students at a variety of levels, with preference for experience at the university level in mentoring writing
