The UPEI Department of Advancement is a team of 12 staff responsible for a wide range of functions including raising more than $5 million per annum in support of student success, through major gifts, awards and scholarships, endowment funds, capital campaigns, UPEI Annual Fund campaign, and other appeals. The department is also responsible for alumni relations; maintaining a constituent database of alumni, friends and donors; prospect research; planned giving; donor relations; and donor recognition.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Department is seeking a skilled individual to lead the major gifts program in this fast-paced department.
This is an ideal role for a proactive self-starter, exceptional communicator, skilled writer, and organized project manager who has experience and demonstrated success in working with people in a donor-centered manner. Within our team-oriented environment, you will work with the Director of Advancement and other senior managers in fostering the growth of the major gifts program by managing campaigns and relationships with current donors, prospective donors, volunteers and partners of the University that assists potential donors in achieving their philanthropic goals in a manner that also supports the priorities of the university.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Interested candidates should have a university degree in a related field with several years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Along with non-profit experience, a degree in the field of development or CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) designation is preferred.
