The Faculty of Business at the University of Prince Edward Island has openings for sessional instructors to teach Executive MBA courses in Winter 2018. These positions are subject to final budgetary approval.

BUS-6040 Operations Management
(Offered every second Saturday from March 3 to April 14, 2018)
This course focuses on concepts and techniques for the design, planning, control, and improvement of manufacturing and service processes. These concepts and techniques pertain to a range of applications in the private and public sectors. Topics include quantitative decision making; process mapping flows of labour, material, capital, and value; supply chain coordination; inventory management; risk mitigation; quality management; process design; and revenue management.  Students will complete problem solving and case applications.

BUS-6070 Strategic Management
(Offered every second Friday from March 2 to April 13, 2018)
This course looks at the development and implementation of management strategies to create a sustainable advantage within new ventures and entrepreneurial activities. Utilizing a variety of pedagogy, the course may include such topics as long-term sustainable business models, venture competencies, analysis of external and internal environments, product and market development, growth management and the implementation of change.

Qualifications:
Because these are Executive MBA courses, we seek applicants with a strong combination of qualifications and experience. Minimum educational credentials include a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. In addition, applicants should have advanced expertise in the course topic. Practical experience in the subject area, prior teaching experience, and knowledge and familiarity with “Evidence-based Management” principles will be considered assets.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
