The UPEI Asian Studies program hosted its fourth annual Asian Studies Lunch on February 15 in the Faculty Lounge at SDU Main Building. More than 50 people attended the event including students, staff, and faculty from across campus. Members of the community enjoyed an authentic East Asian lunch, socialized, and learned about the new Korean Studies program at UPEI. Attendees also had the opportunity to mark and celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year.

UPEI Asian Studies coordinator and Korean Studies project director Dr. Edward Chung was pleased to see a diverse turnout of students from different areas of study. He made note that there were students representing the faculties of arts, science, and business who had either taken courses in Asian studies, were pursuing a minor in the program to compliment their major, or were interested to learn about the Asian Studies and Korea Studies programs.

Dr. Chung extends his gratitude to all who attended as well as an early invitation to anyone who may be interested in attending the celebratory lunch next year.
