Registration is now available for the second International Symposium on Poetic Inquiry, to be held in Charlottetown, October 15-18, in partnership with the Centre for Arts-informed Research, OISE (University of Toronto), and in co-operation with the Faculty of Arts (UPEI), the Faculty of Education (UPEI), the Confederation Centre of the Arts, the League of Canadian Poets, the Department of English (UPEI), and the PEI Writers' Guild. The three-day symposium includes academic sessions, presentations, poetry readings, and informal discussions, as well as social gatherings. Full conference rates, as well as specific day rates, are available. Many of PEI's literary scholars and poets will be showcased with international poets and scholars, creating a culturally rich, international event, and we encourage the University community to get involved. For more information, please contact Christine Gordon Manley (cgmanley@upei.ca; 566-6784). The deadline to register for this symposium is September 1, 2009. Online registration and additional information regarding the symposium can be found at: http://ocs.vre.upei.ca/index.php/ispi/.
