In this session, the research team exploring the impact of digital technologies, global issues, and approaches to writing on the learning of new post-secondary students at UPEI will share preliminary results of the study.  Initially, students were surveyed about the issues of interest in the fall of 2009. The research team is currently conducting interviews and focus groups to continue the exploration of digital technologies, global issues and writing with UPEI students and faculty members. In this presentation, the work and analysis conducted thus far—as well as information from a pilot study conducted during the previous year—will be shared.
