2009 Research Forum

2009 Research Forum

The annual Faculty of Education Research Forum will take place on May 20, 2009, from 3:00--8:00pm. This year, the forum will be co-sponsored by the Centre for Education Research (CER) and the Children’s Health Applied Research Team (CHART), and will focus on issues surrounding education and health. The forum acts as an opportunity for researchers in education and health to highlight current research and to share that work with fellow educators in the province.

The theme of this year’s forum is:

Fostering Research Collaborations in Education & Health.

The keynote address will be given by Dr. Kate Tilleczek, recently appointed Canada Research Chair in Youth Cultures and Transitions at the University of Prince Edward Island and Research Scientist with the Community Health Systems Group at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario.

Her presentation is entitled: Aligning health and education for and with young people: Can we collectively cultivate “developmental health”?
