• Megan Tesch won a NSERC-USRA to conduct summer research on the north shore sandy beach invertebrates associated to stranded seaweeds.
• Luke Poirier was a Senior Undergraduate Student using laboratory and field experiments to assess rates of crab predation on small American oysters in southern PEI.
• Veronique Dufour was a Honors student working on inter-seasonal and inter-annual variation of epifaunal communities associated to blue mussel lines in eastern PEI.
• Marianne Parent did her Honors working on strategies to mitigate invasive tunicates. Her work was co-supervised by J Davidson and C Paetzold (AVC-Shellfish Lab). (see presentations)
• Kristen Murray did her Honors working on green crab – oyster predator-prey interactions. Kristen’s research was partially funded by a 2009 NSERC-USRA
• Jessica Willis was a Honors student working on detection of invasive tunicates of the genus Diplosoma. Her work was co-supervised by Sarah Clark (Lobster Sciences Center-AVC). Previously, she won a NSERC-USRA (2008) to study interactions between juvenile green crabs and mud crabs (see publications and presentations)
• Daniel McNeill conducted a Senior Undergraduate Research Project that focused on the monitoring of epifaunal diversity associated to mussel lines (see presentations)
• Veronique Dufour won a NSERC-USRA (2009) and is studying the effects of sandy beach erosion on invertebrate communities and stranded seaweeds
• Andrey Malyshev (Honors 2008/09) worked on eelgrass disruption in eastern PEI. Previously (in 2007), he worked on diversity associated to mussel clumps. During both periods, his research was partially funded by NSERC-USRAs (see presentations).
• Sarah Haimes (Honors research 2008/09) worked on molecular tools to detect invasive tunicates. Her research was co-supervised by Spencer Greenwood (Lobster Science Center, AVC)
• Michael Wadowski (Honors 2008/09) worked on tunicate invasions and mitigation measures in eastern PEI. His research was co-supervised by J Davidson (AVC) (see presentations)
• John Greenan (NSERC-USRA / Summer 2008) studied the influence of habitat in the outcome of coastal predator-prey interactions (see presentations)
• Garry Gregory (Honors 2007/08) studied the influence of rock crabs and green crabs on selected coastal invertebrates. He was partially funded by a NSERC-USRA (Summer 2007) (see presentations)
• Joe Desreux (Honors 2007/08) studied colonization and spatial distribution of invasive tunicates in several estuarine areas around PEI (see presentations)
• Jonathan Hill (Honors 2007/08) worked with colleagues from DFO-Gulf Division assessing the use of crabs as mitigators of mussel fouling. His research was co-supervised by J Davidson (AVC)
• Sarah Jones (Honors 2007/08) studied health and pathogen infestation in American lobster. Her research was co-supervised by S. Greenwood (Lobster Science Center-AVC)
• Lisa Rosenberg (NSERC-USRA / Summer 2007) did research on juvenile crab-clam predator-prey interactions (see presentations)
• Katrina Brown (Honors 2006/07) studied decapod crustaceans and other epibenthic organisms associated to shallow subtidal habitats of PEI (see presentations)
• Kyle MacMillan (Honors 2006/07) worked in Basin Head MPA where he studied predation by green crab upon intertidal infaunal communities (see presentations)
• Katherine Dewar (Honors 2006/07) studied communities associated to juvenile lobster habitat in the Bay of Fundy. Her co-Supervisors were K. Teather and G. Pohle (Huntsman Field Station).
• Man-Sum Yao (Honors 2005/06) studied oyster habitats in the Bras d’Or Lakes, NS. Her co-supervisors were D. Giberson and J. Davidson (AVC)
