The sixth annual “Animal Welfare: In Practice” conference took place at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada, on September 17–18, 2010, with the topic of Exotic Pets. In addition to the speakers, there were practical laboratory sessions on environmental enrichment, handling, and husbandry in reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and birds. The conference was co-hosted by the AVC Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre and the Animal Welfare Club, with generous support from the Animal Welfare Foundation of Canada.
