A comprehensive text for the discipline.
Issue:
December 2009

The 2nd edition of Veterinary Epidemiologic Research is currently hitting shelves six years after the publication of the 1st edition in 2003. AVC’s Dr. Ian Dohoo, Professor of Epidemiology, and Dr. Henrik Stryhn, Associate Professor of Biostatistics, along with Dr. Wayne Martin, Professor Emeritus of Epidemiology at the University of Guelph, collaborated on the textbook.

The book is a comprehensive text covering the key principles and methods used in veterinary epidemiologic research. It is written primarily for researchers and graduate students in veterinary epidemiology. The text includes issues related to the design and execution of observational studies and controlled trials, statistical methods commonly used in the analysis of epidemiologic studies, and other topics.

The second edition includes several new topic areas which are becoming increasingly important for veterinary epidemiologists. The first edition of the text is in use worldwide.
