UPEI extended their winning streak to six games on Saturday afternoon with a rain soaked 1-0 victory over the UNB Reds. Emilie Pelletier redirected a perfect cross from Cheslie McInnis in the 49th minute for her third goal of the season. It was the Panthers third consecutive 1-0 win.
Panther keeper Channelle Roy recorded her 5th straight shutout, making a fine save in the 50th minute pushing a low shot to her right past the far post.
UPEI had 19 chances on the day, many coming on crosses from deep in the Red end. McInnis tortured the right back all day, creating a number of quality chances for a UPEI side that converts far too few of their chances.
