The regular-season champion UPEI Panthers are intent on adding the 2011 Atlantic University Sport women’s soccer championship banner to their resume this weekend in Fredericton, N.B. 

The Panthers (11-1-1) head into the championship tournament as the No. 1 knowing that means little in the competitive AUS conference.

SMU's Kelly Burgess named Most Valuable Player

November 3, 2011 (HALIFAX, N.S.) - Atlantic University Sport is pleased to announce the 2011 women's soccer all-stars and major award winners as selected by the conference's ten head coaches following regular season play. Fifth-year Saint Mary's striker Kelly Burgess was named the Atlantic University Sport most valuable player, Thursday night.

The Acadia Axewomen helped the UPEI Panthers achieve a 2-2 draw in AUS women’s soccer action Friday in Halifax.
UPEI’s Sara Stewart was credited with a goal that was knocked in by an Acadia player for the tying marker.

The 6th ranked UPEI Women’s soccer Panthers travel to Wolfville on Friday to play winless Acadia looking to solidify their hold on 1st place as the league enters its final weekend of the regular season. The Panthers(10-1-0) and Saint Marys(9-1-1) have secured 1st round byes for the AUS playoffs next weekend in Fredericton.
