The UPEI Women's Rugby Panthers head into the second half of the season in second place in the AUS conference. They will match up against St. FX on Saturday for their homecoming. The Panthers are dissatisfied with their lack of scoring last week-end and will be looking to put some points on the board against X.
”We need to be more explosive defensively and have a quicker reaction time offensively. The girls have picked up their tempo this week at practice and know what to expect from X this week-end. They realize that the way to have success against this strong, fast team to be in constant support. Best of all, they are hungry for the challenge,” commented head coach Shannon Atkins.
The Panthers have been on a rise since the season started and are not ready to plateau; the next three weekend will decide if the Panthers will get to host a playoff game. The Panthers last home game is Saturday October 15 when they host Acadia at 1pm.
