Final: 4-1 L

UPEI opened up on the road losing 4-1 to UdeM on Saturday.  Amanda Armstrong opened the scoring on the power play with a great tip in from Laura Bradley.

UdeM took advantage of UPEI’s penalties with a PP of their own and then go ahead leading 2-1 after two.  UdeM sealed the victory with a late power play  goal to put them up two with less than 1.30 to play.  Final shots were 34 to 25 in favour of UPEI.  Coach Donaldson was not pleased with the teams’ lack of commitment to discipline and sticking to the game plan.  “While we outshot them we did not get the job done in front of the net.  We need to be willing to pay the price and outwork the other team, especially in the offensive zone, “ commented Donaldson. UPEI continues on the road next week when they take on MTA and DAL.
