Saturday night at MacLauchlan Arena the UPEI women's hockey team defeated UdeM 3-1 after losing to them on Tuesday night.
The two teams played even throughout the first period and just over nine minutes into the second period before the Panthers Laura Bradley scored to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. A powerplay goal from captain Amber Gaudette gave UPEI a 2-0 lead. Only moments later UdeM would show life and score their own powerplay goal by Marie-Pier Arsenault.
The Panthers got an early start in the third with another powerplay goal from Keirstin Visser to lead 3-1.
Rookie Laura Bradley was named Subway player of the game. Kristy Dobson records the win and stopped 28 shots.
the Panthers play in Souris tomorrow against the Dalhousie Tigers at 3pm at the Eastern Kings Sportsplex. Scoring Summary
