Wednesday night the St. FX X-women slide past the UPEI Panthers 6-2.
The X-Women took control of the game in the first period scoring five straight goals. Former Panther Janelle Parent scored her goal of the game early in the second period to take a 6-0 lead.
UPEI's Kelsey O'Donnell got the Panthers on the score board late in the second to trail 6-1. Third period's only goal came from UPEI's Ferran Brown and the final score was 6-2.
St.FX outshot UPEI 34-27. The Panthers are off this weekend to work the Spud Tournament being held at MacLauchlan Arena.
