Back-to-back overtime winners courtesy of captain Amber Gaudette last weekend have the UPEI Panthers women’s hockey team boasting a winning record nine games into the Atlantic University Sport season. More from the Guardian.

For the second day in a row, UPEI captain Amber Gaudette scored the winning goal 9.43 in overtime to lift the Panthers 1-0 over the St. Thomas Tommies.

The UPEI Panthers are far ahead of last year with an 2-1 overtime win vs. MtA on Saturday afternoon at MacLauchlan Arena  to improve to 4-4.  UPEI Captain Amber Gaudette needed only 44 seconds in overtime to earn the Panther win.

The Tigers and Panthers meet for the third time and this was UPEI's night at they defeated Dalhousie 3-1 in a shoot out.

The UPEI Panthers earned the win vs. St. Thomas Sunday afternoon in Fredericton 7-2. The Panthers have needed to get the offense scoring and today they did just that with five different players earning goals.  See report below.

The UPEI women's hockey team were hoping for a better result in their home opener Saturday afternoon at MacLauchlan Areana. Moncton spoiled that by winning 3-0.

The UPEI Women’s Hockey team is set to play their first home game of the 2011-12 season this Saturday at 3:00 pm vs. the University of Moncton.  The Panthers are 1-3 and will look to improve to .500 with a second game on Sunday at Saint Thomas.
