Friday night is Subway Night at the UPEI Panthers basketball games. Come out and watch the Panthers take on the UNB Varsity Reds at 6 pm and 8 pm. SUBWAY is an official sponsor of the AUS and to celebrate there will be contests and prizes though out the evening.
The UPEI women's team sit with 6 points are in a battle for a playoff position with UNB who have 8 points. Last weekend the Panthers won the first half of the game and the Reds won the second half and enough for the win. Coach Carly Clarke and the Panthers will be looking to put together a solid 40 minutes for the win.
On the men’s side, the UNB Varsity Reds (12 points) and the UPEI Panthers (16 points) are separated by four points and three other teams in between. It is a tight race for the AUS playoffs and Friday night’s game will be a battle to the buzzer.
