What brought you to UPEI?
My dad got his business degree and played football at UPEI, he was also the last rookie of the year for Panther football in 1980. My older brother also got his business degree and played rugby for UPEI, so it was a dream of mine to go to school and play basketball at UPEI to continue the family legacy as an athlete.
What are looking forward to most after graduation?
After graduation I would like to get my Education degree at UPEI and to become a Jr. High school teacher and of course to coach a basketball team.
What has been your favorite Panther moment to date?
There have been many favorite moments being a panther, but the first time I got to put a UPEI jersey on and play my first game in my home gym still feels like yesterday and defiantly not five years ago. Also being top six rebounder in AUS was a highlight I will never forget.
Tell us one thing that your teammates may not know about you?
Something my teammates may not know about me is that before I started to play basketball I was a competitive speed swimmer for the Bluephins for six years. I was the youngest swimmer to go away to Newfoundland in 2000 for East Coast Championships.
On game day, what is your routine? Food you eat, music you listen too, etc….?
If I am playing at home, on game day my mom will always make me her spaghetti because it is my favorite. Before I leave the house to go to the gym I always turn music on and dance around because I find it helps me to get loose!!
