The UPEI Panthers could not prevent the Saint Mary Huskies from winning back to back AUS Banners as SMU won 6-0.
A four-goal second half propelled the Saint Mary’s Huskies to an unexpected second consecutive Atlantic University Sport men’s soccer crown Sunday.
Elvir Gigolaj scored two of his four goals in the pivotal second half to turn a close game into a 6-0 upset victory over second-ranked UPEI Panthers at Cape Breton University field.
Derek Gaudet added the other two goals for the Huskies, seeded sixth in the tournament. Read more from The Guardian
