Alumni Green & White Night January 28, 2012

On Saturday, January 28, all former UPEI, SDU and PWC hockey players are invited to take part in the annual Alumni Green & White Game  for all alumni players at MacLauchlan Arena.
 
Former UPEI captains Ron Carragher and K.J. White will once again be organizing the teams.
 

Gomes scores late to lift Panthers 8-7 over UNB

For the third time this season the UPEI Panthers defeated the CIS number 1 ranked UNB Varsity Reds 8-7. Jared Gomes scored the winning goal with only 1:50 left on the clock in a total offensive night of play for both teams.

Desousa scores shoot out winner for Panthers

It took a shoot out goal by Chris Desousa for the Panthers to defeat the St. Thomas Tommies 4-3. Friday night at STU the Panthers trailed for much of the game and with only 2 minutes left Jared Gomes scored to tie it at 3-3. Read more from The Guardian.

Tough, fast and fieisty - Mike MacIsaac

Not many hockey players can bounce back the way UPEI Panther forward Mike MacIsaac has this season.

The 24-year-old O’Leary native’s talent for racking up points and getting under the opponent’s skin has made him one of the most effective power forwards on this year’s UPEI men’s hockey team.

Panthers winning streak stopped by Huskies

After winning three in a row to begin the second half of the season the Saint Mary Huskies defeated the Panthers 5-3 in Halifax Saturday night.

Panthers begin weekend with 7-3 win over St. FX

The UPEI men’s hockey team continue their march forward in the second semester with a 7-3 win over St. FX Friday night in Antigonish. 

Seven different Panthers scored goals , and eleven players earned points with the Panthers improving to an 11-6 record.

Rookie netminder Mavric Parks has made himself right at home with the UPEI Panthers this season, quickly earning the job as starting goalie with the hockey team.

The 21-year-old goaltender and Arts student has quickly become a star addition for the Panthers in this 2011-2012 AUS season, playing more than 800 minutes while boasting a .911 save percentage.

Dylan Quaile, captain of the UPEI Men’s Hockey Panthers, answered some questions for us off ice. Quaile is from Toronto, Ontario, and is taking a Bachelor of Business Administration here at UPEI.
