Montreal was not a welcoming host for UPEI, as the mens' basketball team dropped all three of their games over the weekend.
The Panthers opened up game one of their Montreal tour on the right foot, taking a 20-16 lead after the first quarter against Bishop's.

The Gaiters came back to lead at the half 48-41 and eventually led by 14 points in the fourth quarter.  UPEI stormed back to close it to two points on a basket by Fredericton High rookie Calvin LeBlanc with 30 seconds remaining.  UPEI made a defensive stand to have the chance for the victory, but were unable to score in the final 20 seconds, losing 82-80.  Manock Lual led the team with 22 points and 11 rebounds, Terrence Brown 18, Matt Fennell 16, Nick Toews 12, and Leblanc 11.
Saturday the Panthers fell to the University of Quebec at Montreal 82-61 as UPEI struggled from the field all night shooting just 31% from the floor.  Fennell was the high scorer with 17 points, Lual had 14 as he was in foul trouble the entire contest, and Toews 11.
Playing in their final game of the trip on Sunday UPEI lost 103-68 to McGill.  Fennell had 20 and Lual 17.
The AUS regular season starts this Friday night, as UPEI plays at home versus ST FX with the men tipping off at 8:00pm.
