Final: 96-79 W
The UPEI Panthers stayed unbeaten at home Saturday evening defeating the Cape Breton Capers 96-79. The Panthers and Capers played very even in the first quater seperated by only two points. The second quarter the Panthers turned it up and out scored CBU by 20 points and lead 61-39 at the half.
CBU made a run in the third out scoring UPEI 30-22. The two teams stepped up the defense and only allowed 25 points total, 13-10 for UPEI to finish 96-79.
The Panthers will be in Halifax next weekend for the Subway AUS Championship being held at the Halifax Metro Centre.
