UPEI Men's Basketball
Saturday, January 9, 2010
Final: 79-68 L

UPEI struggled to find consistency in the 2nd half, falling by 11 at SMU. SMU came out in the first quarter with an aggressive press, jumping to an early 29-17 lead. However, the Panthers had a fantastic 2nd quarter, holding the high-scoring Huskies to only 9 points and drawing it to a one-point deficit. With Terrence Brown injured and SMU doing a great job limiting Manock Lual's offensive looks, the Panthers struggled to score in the third quarter falling by as much as 20. UPEI stormed back in the 4th to bring it back to single digits, but were unable to come out with the win.

Matt Fennell was the high scorer for the Panthers with 21 points and 5 rebounds.  Nick Toews chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds.
