UPEI Field Hockey Players earn Major Awards

 

Field hockey awards Panthers capture major awards in Atlantic university field hockey league.
The UPEI Panthers picked up several awards Sunday, Oct 16th following the gold medal game of the Atlantic University Field Hockey League. 

 

 

The Panther’s Kathryn Hay was named the league’s Most Valuable Player while Panther head coach Sheila Bell took home the award for 2011 Coach of the Year.
Kathryn is 4th year student from Cornwall and is an honours biology student and plays the forward position. Sheila Bell is in her third year coaching the Panther. Sheila is an elementary school teacher and lives in Bell river. 
Also joining Kathryn Hay on the All Star list from UPEI were 4th year Business student from Charlottetown and forward position,  Lacey MacLauchlan and 2nd year , mid field player Stephanie MacKinnon also from charlottetown.
 
Kathryn Hay and Lacey MacLauchlan are Academic All Canadian along with 8 other member from last year’s team. Erica Ross, Ellen Dixon, Leanne Doiron, Michelle Clow, Marina MacAulay, Kristy Lu, Lydia Ellis and Jenna MacLellan
