The UPEI women’s Field Hockey Team were in Montreal for the weekend for a tournament at McGill but the weather allowed play on Saturday only. The Panthers played two excellent games on Saturday, losing both to Western 1-0 and to McGill 1-0. The UPEI team had a number of scoring changes in each game. The young UPEI team impressed both Western and McGill coaching staff.
All games on Sunday were cancelled due to Hurricane Irene which left excessive water on the field and the wind was making conditions dangerous.
