UPEI finished the tournament with a 3-2 record while scoring 13 goals over the five games. Although UPEI lost 2-0 to SMU and 3-2 to first place Dalhousie Tigers the Panthers played extremely well.
The Panther’s first game against SMU, they showed that the team can play well but missed some opportunities to score.That changed for the rest of the tournament as nine different players scored.
The most important goals were scored in the Dalhousie game. Down 2-0 Lacey MacLauchlan scored on a beautiful pass from Kathryn Hay. Kathryn's speed had Dal defence chasing and the goalie moving in her direction, she passed to MacLauchlan , who had an open net. Again, Dalhousie went up 3-1 and late in the game and rookie Jaclyn Sanderson scored second goal of the week- end off a penalty corner pass from Amy Rawlinson. The final results 3-2 Dal.
