UPEI will play host to the six team, Maritime Field Hockey League Championship on Saturday and Sunday on the UPEI Turf. Three teams are playing not only for the title but a chance to play in the OUA Championship held at Western next weekend. The team that finishes the highest between, UPEI, St. Mary’s and Dalhousie will play in Ontario.
Fifth year, former UPEI Athlete of the year and CIS All Canadian , Mikaela Ellis will play her last home game as a field hockey Panther along with Carolyn MacLeod. The Panthers also have three fourth years who can graduate, Hillary Buckley, Katie Lezeu and Lindsay McInnis.
The Panthers play on Saturday at 2pm and 7pm vs. Dalhousie and SFX on the turf. Sunday play will begin at 9am with crossovers and medal games at 12 noon and a 1pm championship final.
